Thank you to Vince Gill, Sonya Isaacs, The Time Jumpers, all the folks at 3rd & Lindsley, and everyone who made Paul’s Album Release Showcase on 11/11 a huge success. We had a full house at 3rd & Lindsley – over 250 people attended, and the first 100 in the door received a signed copy of Paul’s “3-Minute Heartache” CD.
The world-class band included Paul Franklin on steel, Andy Hull on drums, Andy Leftwich on fiddle & mandolin, Jeff Taylor on piano & accordian, Brad Albin on bass, James Mitchell on electric guitar and Mike Rogers on rhythm guitar and harmonies. Special thanks to Josh Isenberg for running the sound.
Paul fittingly opened the Veteran’s Day show with “God Bless America,” and then featured cuts from his new country album, “3-Minute Heartache.” The crowd loved his original tunes: “Too Country,” “Love Online,” “3-Minute Heartache,” “You Look Like I Need a Drink,” “Hillbilly Blues,” and “I Just Want to Touch You.” Sonya Isaacs and Vince Gill added beautiful harmonies to Paul’s version of “Bluegrass Melodies,” a special tribute song to Sonny Osborne, who Paul called one of the world’s greatest singers who is often overlooked. Before the night was over, Paul brought the crowd to their feet with his stunning rendition of ”Kentucky Waltz,” the signature song that has made him so well-known while touring with Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder.
Paul told his fans: “This was a healing night for me.” Friend and singer/songwriter Shawn Camp said “This night was a huge milestone for Paul.”
Thank you to everyone who attended and who has supported Paul’s music for making this an unforgettable evening for Paul. We hope it’s just the beginning of a very exciting journey!

“3 Minute Heartache” is available September 10th.
The Bluegrass Music News Network recently published an article covering the release of Paul’s album, “3 Minute Heartache,” on September 10th. The article included a brief description of some of tracks on the album, and provided a review as to who may find a specific humorous or even haunting. The team from Paul Brewster Music encourages you to take a look at some thoughts that were shared on the Bluegrass Music News Network. After reviewing their thoughts about “3 Minute Heartache,” be sure to visit their site via the link below.
The album features something for everyone; The bluegrass fan favorite “Bluegrass Melodies”…the western swing “Hillbilly Blues”, the rollicking “Too Country”, the poignant and haunting “Dad’s Guitar”, the humorous ode to the internet, “Love On Line”, and among others, the wistful title cut, “3 Minute Heartache”. Brewster’s vocal skills are legend… and now… finally exposed… his song-writing genius.

One of Nashville’s most respected artists, Paul Brewster emerges on the country scene with his second solo record, “3-Minute Heartache.” Featuring 10 original tracks full of heartache, rock-n-roll and pedal steel, “3-Minute Heartache,” will be independently released September 10th and is an exciting departure from his first, grassier, solo record, “Everybody’s Talkin’.’” Paul is known primarily for his soaring vocals and rhythm guitar alongside Ricky Skaggs, but his songwriting shines as much as his voice on this album.
Fans of Vince Gill, Marty Raybon, and Randy Travis will enjoy the traditional-country sound and deep bluegrass roots of “3-Minute Heartache,” which features Nashville’s A-List Players (Brent Mason, Andy Leftwich, Mike Johnson, Ilya Tashinski, Michael Rojas, Michael Rhodes, Eddie Bayers, Kenny Malone, and Jimmy Capps) and a guest appearance by Sonya Isaacs (“I Just Want to Touch You,” and “On My Knees.”)
For the last 18 years, Paul has been the tenor singer and rhythm guitarist alongside GRAMMY-Award Winner Ricky Skaggs, as a member of the 8-Time IBMA Instrumental Group of the Year, Kentucky Thunder. ”Most times when Paul sings (Kentucky Waltz), people throw babies in the air; they’re so excited,” jokes Skaggs in a recent Paul Brewster Bluegrass Unlimited interview. Originally from Knoxville, Paul enjoyed brief stints with The Knoxville Grass, The Pinnacle Boys and then ten years with The Osborne Brothers before joining forces with Skaggs.
Paul will continue with Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, with 2013 and 2014 dates already booked, but in the meantime, “3-Minute Heartache” represents “songs on the inside that had to get out.” An Album Release show is set for Monday, November 11th at 3rd and Lindsley at 7pm, presented and hosted by Vince Gill, and featuring a special guest appearance by Sonya Isaacs.
Pre-orders are available now at www.paulbrewstermusic.com (first 250 copies signed).
“Paul steps out on his own on this great record and nails it. His voice is as pure as the love songs he sings, and the versatility in his writing shows…he writes from the heart. A great country record.” – Bob Tubert, TV Producer/Writer
